What is the attorney's role in the estate planning process?

Video Transcription

The attorney is necessary in the estate planning process because that's the person who understands the process of creating an estate plan. That attorney will meet with you to discuss your situation, to discuss your goals, help to draw out some of the questions you may not even have thought of. That attorney then will either prepare or oversee the preparation of the documents that you've agreed to have prepared within your estate plan.

And then finally, the attorney will meet with you to review the documents after they've been prepared, and to oversee the execution of those documents so that way, your estate plan is complete.
